Communication

Tone Check Before Sending

Check a message you're about to send while emotional: how it reads to the recipient, the lines that escalate, and the version that achieves your actual goal.

Tone-check this before I send it: {{message}}. Context: {{context}} (who it's to, what happened, my emotional state honestly, what I actually need to happen next). Analyse: how it reads FROM THE RECIPIENT'S CHAIR (the lines that will land as attacks, sarcasm that won't travel, the CC that reads as a threat), the goal test (does this message make my desired outcome MORE likely, or does it just feel good to send?), the escalation forecast (their likely reply to this version), then the rewrite: everything my goal needs, nothing my anger wants — with the one firm line kept if firmness IS the goal. Plus the send-timing advice (the overnight rule when it applies) and the honest question: should this be a conversation instead?

Fields like {{ this }} are placeholders — replace them with your own details, or let Aria ask you for them.
